there are many sniper rifles over the world. bolt action to semi auto models in all calibers. what do you think the best would be? best meaning most adaptive, most accurate, most effective, most reliable.
real life, not call of duty or any other video games
ok im looking to buy an airsoft sniper rifle and i have look around but i just wanted to know were i might get a gas powered semi auto sniper and what would it cost
an assault rifle by definition is a fully auto matic machine gun what I am wondering is what non gun owners and anti gun people define as an assault rifle? a lot of them are saying its anything that semi auto which is ofcourse a total lie…..
I have been looking up online on getting a gun or two and get a collection started. I am currently looking at civilian version of the M4, it’s a semi-automatic and as far as I know, a full auto assault rifle is illegal? That’s besides the point. I am wondering the following.
Do you need any type of license in the state of Alaska to Buy a gun, Shoot a gun, or Carry a semi auto assault rifle with you?
Im a civilian, not military or police. but ive heard that pre ban full auto rifles can go for around 13,000-16,000. i dont have that kind of money, but can i convert a semi auto to full auto if i get it all registered with the ATF and whatever?
I am 13 years old in the 8th grade , and in 14 i would like to join the H.S’s Military program but my parents are against it.
They say its for my potential in life , im in A.I.G & Beta Club , but i work out & play sports and i go to the shooting range and shoot my 380 bolt rifle and 22 semi auto and as good as i am , they still deny it.
Can someone please help?!?!
I was reading about how cowboys and lawmen in the past would often have the same caliber for their rifle and pistol so they could use the same ammo for each gun and eliminate confusion. Looking around though it’s pretty hard to match calibers today (ie. I have a 30/30 but can’t find a matching caliber handgun, esp in semi-auto). Seems this thing would be especially useful in places like the military. Truthfully I don’t know much about guns, but why aren’t there more options for using the same ammo for a rifle and a handgun? What do you think is the ideal matching set?
I’ve seen video of the test firing of the single and semi-auto model. Don’t know anyone who has fired one, though. One of these days I hope to have that chance.
Guy at my rifle club has a .22 semi auto version of (i think) a HK MP5. He has a liscence and uses it for pest control. Is this legal? what are the restrictions on what you can and cant own, ie, would a 5.56 version of the same be illegal?
I was wondering, which semi-automatic rifle has the longest EFFECTIVE range? What is the EFFECTIVE range of whichever semi-auto rifle you chose as the longest range semi-automatic rifle; assuming that the rifleman has an average skill level?
By the way, include ANY semi-automatic rifle, including AR-15/M16 rifles or any other military-style rifles.
More of an opinion question really but I really want some advice on what my next gun should be. I currently have three Remington 870′s (2×12 Gauge Super Magnums, one 20 gauge), a Norinco SKS, and Remington 700 in .270 with an older Leupold Vari-X scope hanging on my bedroom wall. I’m nineteen years old and live in Virginia. The only guns that technically belong to me are the SKS and the 20 gauge 870. The rest all belong to my dad and I hunt occasionly and have all my duck, rabbit, squirrel, and whitetail needs covered.
My question is what type of firearm should I get that is under 0-0 in price. I enjoy all kinds of shooting but am most experienced with shooting milsurp rifles and 100-200 yard hunting and target shooting. I was strongly considering picking up a Mosin Nagant just for the sake of adding to my ComBloc collection of military rifles. Next would be the AK which i could potentially get both for 0, 100 for the Mosin and 500 for the AK. I have also flipped around the idea of a Springfield XD or shelling out the big bucks and building my own AR for 00. I’m open to any suggestions from those of you who have a favorite gun or have faced a similar situation as me.
Also in VA it’s legal for me to posses a handgun just not to purchase one. My dad would be more than willing to buy me any handgun I wanted and I have numerous friends I could have buy me ammo. So handguns are part of the picture as well
I cannot afford to pay 10,000 dollars plus all the title II paper work and the 200 dollar tax stamp for an M16 and as much as I love the SCAR-H i believe they cost about 2,500 to 3000 dollars. Remember 0-0
I have six 22lr’s. A pump action, a semi auto rifle, two bolt actions, and for pistols a revolver and an automatic. Also no more shotguns
Seth just reminded me I’m also very interested in a marlin lever action or any other brand someone can recommend
i was thinking about this the other day, so figure you are going to want something that can reliably defend you from anything (bears, humans etc.) so it has to be a high powered caliber. second a semi auto rifle( ak-47, ar-15 etc.) need a magazine to function. what if you lose or break that magazine, then you have to load one round at a time, compared to the bolt action rifle that has an internal magazine that cant be lost. and lastly most military rifles were designed with the idea of hand to hand combat in mind, so they can be equipped with bayonets. Just tell me what you think and if you agree or disagree with me
Was just wondering if my M14 has enough punch to detonate Tannerite shooting targets. I don’t have hunting rifle, I use semi auto military rifles but I nothing like a .308 . Currently I am trying to just set it off with blasting caps. Thank you.
I’m assuming that they must be simply more reliable/durable or easier to clean in the field than their semi-auto counterparts but I have no clue to the real answer.
I am in the market for a semiautomatic rifle that could fill the position of a sniper rifle. I would like it to be military grade(reliability) with high knockdown power. Now obviously i am not expecting the pin-point accuracy of a real conventional sniper rifle. The reason i am asking is because i want a rifle where i can mount it with a maybe 4-24 or 6-28 sight for pretty long distance shots but i want the gun to also be able to work as a combat rifle(hence the semi-auto)
I have no upgrades except a 1400 round clip. It is all Semi-Auto and pretty accurate. Any sort of rails or scopes i would need to make it a better sniper?
I asked this question before and I want to clarify that I want a Colt MILITARY rifle, NOT a Colt civilian rifle.
I know that Bushmaster has the option to buy their military models in semi-auto only configuration, so I want to know if Colt will do the same. I am not impressed with their civilian market products and would really like their military rifle, even in semi-auto only.
To all of you who are saying Bushmaster did not have any government contracts, click on that. Come on people, do a little research before you post something.
So to those of you who keep saying their military rifles are the same as their civilian rifles, NO THEY ARE NOT THE SAME!!! Seriously, do a little research before you post.
What is the difference between the Remington ACR and the Bushmaster ACR? I heard that the Remington ACR is designed for the military and will be select fire, and the Bushmaster will be for civilians and will be semi-auto only.
I’m pretty sure most weapons they use are selective fire, but which one is used more? Is it based on personal preference, or does the military tell the soldiers which to use? (Semi-auto vs. full auto.)
to learn about the pro's and con's of each as well as the biggest mistake all the "heavy artillery" guys make when choosing "terminator ammo"!
