how powerful is a 50 cal sniper rifle?

January 26th, 2011 by eranio

just curious, could a 50 cal sniper rifle really rip a foot wide hole in someone or is that some myth? my brother keeps claiming how powerful a 50 cal sniper rifle is and says it could rip someone’s head off if they were even shot in the neck. I just want some truth to everything he is saying.

How do you feel about the term "assault rifle"?

January 5th, 2011 by eranio

or "assault weapon?"

I think it is a manufactured term to give people the wrong idea.

Watch this for a little tidbit of truth.

This is probably a stupid question but I was wondering if Judge Advocates carried weapons?

November 22nd, 2010 by eranio

I don’t really see the need for it but I have seen people on the television show JAG carrying weapons at times. While I understand this may not be truth I wanted some clarification on if they are issued them and are trained with them. I know Marine Officers are trained with them, as far as issued them I am uncertain. Also if anyone knows of any other occupations within the military that are available to people with a color-vision deficiency please let me know. Thanks!

Why can't one buy an m40A1 military (USMC) tactical rifle?

September 4th, 2010 by eranio

I have seen a number of articles saying that one can’t but I don’t find anything that says why….
Thanks for all your answers. I was looking for something concrete legally stating that one cannot own one.
I actually shot one at a local gun range and it performed beautifully. It was in private ownership and I’m certain I could have persuaded the owner to sell it to me. I just don’t want to run afoul with the law.

What does that even mean?

Is it OK to write a letter to our Military men and women?

May 8th, 2010 by eranio

Dear Military members, You are doing a puke poor job of fighting for the United States. The war is based on lies and to tell you the truth you ( That is those who have died ) are dying for nothing. You military men and women can’t even beat a military who is about as powerful as the Flintstone era people. What a pitiful puke poor shame that is. ( Of course the reason you can’t win is because the war in Iraq is wrong ) The best thing you can do is get out of the military and go to college and get a real job. The job of running around with a gun and killing so many innocent people should have stopped back in Vietnam but here it is 2006 and you young people are once again acting like uneducated people. Shame on you young people for going into the military and fighting for all the lies President Bush has told. Shame on you all.

Is milsurp 5.56mm NATO ammo safe in hunting rifles?

March 25th, 2010 by eranio

I’ve read that military surplus 5.56mm NATO ammo may be unsafe in standard bolt action hunting rifles chambered for the .223 Remington cartridge. Any truth to this? I’m checking out a Stevens model 200 for my son but want to shoot surplus and economy ammunition in it. Is there anything to be concerned about such as pressures, cartridge length, bullet weight or bullet seating depth? Will the Stevens shoot milsurp safely and without jamming the rifle?

If I owned a company that built military weapons?

February 3rd, 2010 by eranio

would it be in my best interests to have a war continue itself & if so… How?
Neva – the point is, someone is capitalizing from the destruction of homelands & the deaths of humans, in no way do I condone the actions but the fact is… ‘war is good for business’ so to speak & an awareness of this does not go astray.
All Black- now ain’t that the truth.
