How do oppressed Egyptians feel about the US while Egyptian government abuses them with US military weapons?

January 31st, 2011 by eranio

All US "aid" to 3rd World is just US military industrial congressional complex weapons (turn on your TV to look at them). US working class tax coffers pay US richclass owned military industrial congressional complex to produce them — and US richclass gets richer and richer.

"…it’s tough to see how the United States will gain the sympathy of Egyptian protesters fighting a security apparatus that has worked closely with American counterparts and may be using U.S. equipment to repress them."

(I like those words "may be" — isn’t that cute?)

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20110129/ap_on_re_us/us_us_egypt_analysis

Gee, I wonder how McDonnell Douglas profits report this quarter? And all the others?

There’s been some talk in the US about cutting aid to 3rd World countries, and the public presses that this is a good idea. Now that you finally know what has long been obvious to any with a brain, that all US aid is just US corporate richclass scam on US working class — don’t you wanna change your mind about cutting that 3rd World aid? I mean, you don’t wanna come off as not willing to sacrifice all your blood and guts(and 3rd World impoverished) to make US richclass richer, do you?

How do oppressed Egyptians feel about the US while Egyptian government abuses them with US military weapons?
@Sorry, never saw an AK-47 tank before.

Gun laws in NJ and surrounding states

January 3rd, 2011 by eranio

I am planing on getting a gun. I served in the israeli military as a volunteer and have recently returned to the US. I am an american citizen. I learned how to use and operate a large number of firearms and was required as a combat soldier to carry my weapon with me at all times. I have since been released and returned home to the united states and as result of having to carry one everywhere i went it feels unsettling to be without. I have no desire to buy an M4 a simple hand gun will suffice but do not want to break any laws. what is required to buy a hand gun in new jersey? what is required to get be able to carry it on my person? how do i get such licenses? what restrictions are there? and what are the laws of the surrounding states (New York and Pennsylvania) are there different laws for urban areas? do i have to file for permits from these states as well or will NJ permits be accepted?

Have the United States ever actually given direct military support to an Israeli operation or visa versa.?

December 31st, 2010 by eranio

Despite the enduring and very close diplomatic and military relationship between the United States and Israel, and all the indirect aid (funds, supplies, weapons etc.) the United States has given to Israel, it has occurred to me that I do not know of a single instance in which the United States actually lent troops or direct military action to an Israeli military operation or visa versa. Is it true that such has never happened?

Why are people who bring up the military industrial complex accused of being soft on defense?

December 4th, 2010 by eranio

It’s quite absurd when the man who coined the term "military industrial complex" and first warned America of it was Dwight D. Eisenhower, the man who led the United States to victory in World War II.

This man was certainly NOT soft on defense.

In fact in his speech about the MIC, Eisenhower even stressed the importance of defense. He said

"A vital element in keeping the peace is our military establishment. Our arms must be mighty, ready for instant action, so that no potential aggressor may be tempted to risk his own destruction."

Eisenhower was warning against the corporations that make military hardware. If your company makes weapons, what better way to skyrocket your profits than with a war? He was trying to tell us that we should maintain control of them and not let them call the shots.

Yes, tomjohn, I am a hippie. Of course I’m a rather oddball hippie. My hair is very short. I don’t smoke pot. I bathe regularly. I’ve served in the military, and I like SUV’s.

What assault rifle did the U.S. army use before the M-16 was created?

November 26th, 2010 by eranio

I need to know what the United States used for an assault rifle. I know that during WWII they used a form of the BAR assault rifle but did they have any new ones after that?

I need help on a LD debate resolution involving nuclear weapons!?

October 26th, 2010 by eranio

The resolution is: It is just for the United States to use military force to prevent the acquisition of nuclear weapons by nations that pose a military threat.

In LD, you have to define key terms.
How can I define "Military Force?"

Wouldn't Iran be smart to use their nuclear weapons on Israel while Obama is still in office?

October 12th, 2010 by eranio

Iran is going to get nuclear weapons in a year, two at the most. Yes there is a good chance that Israel will launch a air strike against Iran to destroy their capability to make nuclear weapons but will most likely fail. With Obama in the White House it is a lot less likely that the United States will take any kind of military action against Iran for using nuclear weapons on Israel.

If we are so worried about Iran getting weapons, why ?

October 5th, 2010 by eranio

why is our own govt. shipping military weapons to Iran ?
"
Sanctions are intended in part to frustrate Iran’s efforts to build its military, but the U.S. government’s own figures show at least 8,000 worth of unspecified weapons and other military gear were exported from the United States to Iran during Bush’s time in office. That includes 6,635 in military rifles and ,760 in rifle parts and accessories shipped in 2004, the data shows.

Also shipped to Iran were at least ,000 in "aircraft launching gear and/or deck arrestors," equipment needed to launch jets from aircraft carriers, according to U.S. records. Iran’s navy is not believed to own or operate any carriers."

Why are we arming the axis evil ? That’s feeding evil with evil which would make us an accomplice of evil ?

What’s the reason for arming them when a conflict is possible (soon) ?

How will George Bush selling weapons to Kosovo actually help anybody?

September 17th, 2010 by eranio

PRESIDENT George W. Bush has authorised supplying Kosovo with weapons, signaling the establishment of government-to-government relations after recognising its independence, the White House said.

In a memo to the State Department made public by the White House, Mr Bush said: "I hereby find that the furnishing of defense articles and defense services to Kosovo will strengthen the security of the United States and promote world peace".

A senior official said the authorisation followed US recognition of Kosovo’s independence and was part of the normal process of establishing relations with a new government.

In a comment apparently meant to allay concerns from Serbia and its ally Russia, the official stressed the military restrictions imposed on Kosovo under a plan by former UN special envoy for Kosovo Martti Ahtisaari.

Why doesn't President Obama just phase out the military?

September 12th, 2010 by eranio

Our nation is having financial difficulties and we need to eliminate all but the most essential programs.

The United States doesn’t need an army, navy, marines, coast guard, etc, etc. It’s just like the 2nd Amendment — these things were implemented by the Founding Fathers over 2 centuries ago! Back then a military and guns were needed, but today we have no need for either.

We don’t need a nasa either. We were already first to go to the moon. Lets let some other countries be the first at something, okay? There is no reason Americans should always be first.

Think of the money that could be saved — bring home every soldier worldwide! No more Bush wars, Afghanistan wars, etc. The money saved could be used to provide free health care and help us fight global warming.

President Obama is bringing the change that WE THE PEOPLE elected!

Questions about owning fully automatic rifles…?

August 21st, 2010 by eranio

I have heard (and I believe) that it is illegal to own a fully automatic rifle anywhere in the united states if it was made past the year 1986. Correct?
Second off, obviously if you are in the military you may be working with those kinds of weapons, but if you are in the military would you be aloud to own one at home?
I have seen many people in videos firing fairly modern assault rifles in fields and stuff, does this mean that all of the weapons were illegally obtained?

Thanks

Does the US military abandon weapons overseas when it leaves a war zone?

August 19th, 2010 by eranio

I’m sure most of us have seen Lord of War with Nicolas Cage, and at one point in the movie he says in voice-over something to the effect that the United States typically leaves millions of dollars worth of arms when it leaves a war zone because it is cheaper to buy new guns than to ship the guns stateside.

Do you think there should be compulsory military training in the US?

August 1st, 2010 by eranio

Just curious as to what you think about this and why. I was reading Dr. Laura’s blog about this in light of the tragic events at Virginia Tech and this is what she had to say:
I believe every household should have at least one person trained and certified to shoot a gun. I believe every young person between 18 and 20 years of age should be required to receive compulsory military training. Over 70 nations in the world require some level of compulsory military service on the part of their young citizens including countries such as Austria, Brazil, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Israel, Mexico, Norway, Sweden and Switzerland. Why shouldn’t the United States be as prepared as these countries? I believe we as Americans should be equipped mentally and physically to protect ourselves, our family, and our Country

What do you think?

Why the united states with all it's military power can't defeat these terrorists ?

Do you think Japan and the U.S.A. should distroy north korea's weapons and military capibilities.?

July 14th, 2010 by eranio

North Korea has repeatly stated it’s intention to bomb another country and distroy the United States as well as Japan. They are clearly trying to provolk a war hoping to bring in China, Russian, and the Muslim world against the U.S.A. and Japan/ South Korea.
So what choice do we have?

Is history repeating itself? Does today's America resemble the Rise and Fall of the Roaman Empire?

June 18th, 2010 by eranio

Is our military spread too thin? Should we still be "protecting" South Korea with thousands of soldiers and sailors and be spending more money on the military than ANY country in all of HISTORY? Are the million dollar weapons over priced? Did not North Vietnam win the war against the United States with far less expensive technology? Didn’t the Viet cong and NVA win with the 1947 designed AK-47 rifles and by digging tunnels while America had billion dollar war ships and multi-million dollar jets? What is wrong with this picture?

Posted in Military Rifles | 5 Comments »

Where the heck did all the ammo go?

May 28th, 2010 by eranio

I can’t find any affordable ammo for my AK-47 anymore. There should be all kinds of 7.62x39mm military surplus out there in the world. Why isn’t it being imported into the United States? Ammunition for all firearms is outrageously priced right now if you can even find what you are looking for at all. What the heck is going on? Is everyone just stocking up for the revolution and drying up all the supply or is the Obama Administration already passing laws that are driving up ammo prices and banning importations?

U.S. military vs. America's gun owners, who would win?

May 16th, 2010 by eranio

If the U.S. government in the future became tyrannical, abusive, and violated the Bill of Rights and the Constitution, and declared martial law, and began to form a oppressive police state over the American people. There are an estimated 300 million citizens in the United States, not including the illegals and foreigners.
There is an estimated 198 million firearms in the private hands of citizens, and half of the population in America owns at least 1 gun by household. If the U.S. military was sent to take complete control over the cities and to forcefully confiscate the firearms of all citizens, and crush any dissidents and protesters. If the U.S. military and the gun owners of America went to war against each other, who would win?

All of the branches, reserves, national guard, and special forces units of the American military would number around 6 million. All the gun owners of America, which would be around half of our estimated population would be 150 million citizens.
