Turkish made air rifles like Webley Patriot and Do-All's?

March 3rd, 2010 by eranio

With political/military insecurity in Turkey right now, do you think this will effect exports of air rifles? The Do-All’s are no big deal, there’s plenty of others just like them from other sources and nations.
I am sort of disappointed to see Webley & Scott move production of their Patriot springer (and others?) to Turkey from the UK.
Do you think this was a bad move on Webley’s part?

It wasn’t their choice. They sold the business, new owners
kept the name and moved the manufacturing to Turkey.
From what I hear, the guns are not bad, the blueing isn’t
what it was like when it was made in England. But from what
diffrent people are saying the new Webleys aren’t that bad.
Still, I won’t rush out and get a Turkish made Webley anytime soon. And yes, all of the Webleys are now made there. So if you have an English made Webley, keep it. I’m keeping mine.
