US Military. Do you have to use the weapon they supply you, or can you use one of your hunting rifles?

Also, what about weapons that were onced issued by the military. Like the M1, or the Springfield M1903

Out of date.

You use what is issued. Hunting rifles aren’t made for war anyways. Whats a bolt action winchester or remington gonna do against rpk, rpg, ak47 and dushka fire?

M1903, and M1 Garands are only used for drill and ceremony now. They are not used because they are heavy, outdated and dont use a round that is still in service by the military. The M14 on the other hand is still very much in use.

You have to use the weapon that is issued to you.

old issue that came up during the beginning of the war if you use your own rifle and you die the US military does not have to give out full benefits
ie your not allowed to but you can use whatever rail or scope system you want

Yes, you have to use theirs. You cannot take a personal weapon with you (other than some small knives) and if you do then you can face UCMJ action. Not only that, but you probably won’t be able to get it back home from deployment since customs will take it from you when you are coming home.
