I am not legally a resident of Virginia? I have orders, a Alabama drivers license, military ID and I’m a resident of Louisiana. Would I have any problems?

It doesn’t matter.
If you stationed somewhere, you can buy a firerm there.
You will still have to do the two week wait for a pistol though.
