If you want to own guns and don’t know exactly what you want and if you do know. Go to gun shows check out the dealers.and spend time and watch for private owners selling. They walk around carrying their for sale firearms. that’s where you get the best buys and something you really want can turn up.

Cheap SKS for under $275? Not anymore……
There are very few under $275. Maybe a cheap bolt action .17HMR? Very fun, although a bit expensive to shoot.
Another Mosin? M44 carbine? 91/30? Maybe a low-grade milsurp mauser?
You can get a Keltec pistol for around there, they are decently made.
Any of the Mossberg ATR-100 series rifles are real well made for the price you can spend. Several calibers (i like the .270) available. Check Walmart, they are usually like $250
Slim picks overall.
