What are the gun laws in the UK? (particularly on Sniper Rifles)?
My friends and I are into LARP (Live action Role Play) and are creating a Resident Evil group, which will include fake fire arms, or air pistols with the chambers sealed up, which we have been told by the event is perfectly fine as long as the guns are not drawn in public or taken out of the premises. However, a friend is insisting on bringing a live sniper rifle(not loaded), which the group are against as is the event. (Their website has stated that they wont allow large guns in unless they are handed over to security until the competitions) However they are still insisting on bringing this gun. Does anyone know what are the UK gun laws concerning sniper rifles in public and in the country are?
Thanks!
The sniper rifle if the live gun, not the others, the others are either air guns that use plastic pellets or fake rubber guns.

Don’t you think it’s time to change your politicians? Get some in there that will restore your rights as won under the Magna Carta, to protect yourself against usurpations from the crown.
For now, tell your friend to leave his toy at home. When playing at someone else’s house, you always play by their rules, that is after all only polite.

Any type of firearms are prohibited to private citizens in the UK.
My advice is to invest in a fake or toy type gun that fire paintballs or air-soft pellets.
