   Depends what you mean by "military".

   If you mean ground troops slugging it out in the dirt, I wouldn’t want to tangle with the Russian army.

   If you mean hi-tech stuff, we are.

   America is still the most pwerful nation of Earth///most of Russias navy is piled up rusty ships at anchor somewhere….they really dont have anything but some nukes…

   Both have the capability of destroying the other. The US certainly has the most sophisticated weaponry in the world and the Russians know this.

   As much as the Russians dislike the Chinese, they are in bed with them militarily. They realize that Russia and China together are a serious threat to the US, whereas Russia alone, not so much.

   The U.S.A. of course. We have weapons that our
   government don’t want us to know about. Even the
   Afghans beat the Russians a few years ago!

   Basing your answer off of public knowledge who wouldn’t say the US but I have no idea when It comes to what the two super powers are really capable of.

   The USA,
   Because we have more solders, ships, aircraft, tanks, and anything military related, also we are better in each one of the categories.
   Also Russia has been becoming weaker and weaker ever since the fall of the soviet Union because they are using older and older technology.
