So we all know the M16 is junk, and the American contract with Colt is coming to an end. What does everyone think the new AR for the US military will/should be. I’m putting my money on the Belgan FN SCAR.

the fn scar (there is a plant in S.C.) is being field tested now. SF units have mixed feelings about it since it is polymer and we’ll have to see if the receiver can hold up to rough conditions like the metal m-4.

The SCAR would be a good choice.
I like most guns from Heckler and Koch, personally.

It’s a gun, it FIRES. What more do you need?
I pretty much realized that if you’re in the Armed Forces, and need to fire your gun, there’s a great chance someone’s firing one back at you. 1 to the head and you’ll either be dead or a miserable vegetable for the rest of your life.
Not fun, isn’t it?
