I think the best answer is for us to contact the FBI to report such questions. Don’t children have any values on life these days, guns and killing are not the solution.
You need help.

Man were do you live because I am staying away the fuck away from you before you kill me
January 17th, 2010 at 3:38 am
just get a .223, or a 22-250 they are pretty good guns, and ammo is un-expensive—if you wanna go big time, i suggest a Dragunov sniper rifle, but they are rather expensive, both for ammo and in intial price.

Air soft.

Why would you want to shoot a 15 year old with a sniper riffle? Check the internet for local gun shows coming to your area. They always have good deals.
January 17th, 2010 at 3:38 am
A sniper rifle is not normally used for hunting!!!!
January 17th, 2010 at 3:38 am
uh for a 15 year old….. go buy counter strike and buy the AWP
January 17th, 2010 at 3:38 am
None. There’s no reason for civilians to have sniper rigs. Get a good target or varmint rifle instead. They’re almost the same thing, but with practical applications.
January 17th, 2010 at 3:38 am
Well after you take a hunter saftey course , I recommend a 22 long rifle to plink with and improve your accuracy , Then you might move to a 243 it can be used in most states to hunt with later on as well.
I dont prefer a 243 to deer hunt with but it will work and is a good rifle to use to improve shooting skills before moving on to a 30.06 etc.
January 17th, 2010 at 3:38 am
Have your mommy buy you a 30.06 remington rifle and buy a scope that you like and boom you have a sniper rifle
January 17th, 2010 at 3:38 am
a sniper rifle is a firearm that is used by an individual trained as a marksman for the sole purpose of neutralizing high value human and material targets with small arms. unless in your short life you have been trained as a sniper, no weapon you hold is a sniper rifle, regardless of accuracy or the addition of a scope.

Why does a fifteen year old need a sniper rifle?
January 17th, 2010 at 3:38 am
You’d be better served putting your effort into scholastic endeavors at this point in your life.
January 17th, 2010 at 3:38 am
None. 15 year olds don’t need to be snipers. Wait until you are 17 and get your parent’s permission to join the military. Once you are in there, they will get this nonsense out of your skull.
I guess the acting career isn’t going well??? Talk to a counselor!
January 17th, 2010 at 3:38 am
Now I have to ask a question of a question. What in the hell does a 15 year old need with a sniper rifle???? If you meen just for competitive shooting legally I could answer your question. But, if you plan on being the next freeway shooter or VA Tech shooter I will not answer you.
January 17th, 2010 at 3:38 am
Any rifle that is precise enough to be used by an expert marksman will not be cheap. Second most of them are entirely custom or customized for the demands of the shooter. Also they will need precise ammunition, you won’t find it cheaply and will need to either go to a gun store that specializes in long range competition shooting gear or handload your own. You will definately want to put this off until you are atleast 18 and can own a gun yourself and when you have thousands of dollars laying around that you don’t really need.
January 17th, 2010 at 3:38 am
Sorry, Ryan, Federal law requires you to be 18 years old to own a rifle or shotgun.
January 17th, 2010 at 3:38 am
why would a 15 year old need a sniper rifle? buy a book instead. think happy thoughts. drink koolaid.

After some thought & reading the prior posts, I’ll give you a serious answer. Sniper rifles tend to be pricey. A Modifed Winchester 70 or Remington 700 would be a budget starting point. Synthetic stock over wood and a quality optic preferably with a mil dot reticle. A used military bolt gun a springfield or mauser is also a source. Ammo should be match grade for best perfomance. Additonal accessories like range finders, spoting scopes, etc will be needed as well.

I hope that answered your question minus the BS….

A Winchester model # 67 or 67A single shot bolt action It shoots Shorts,Longs & Long rifle 22 cal bullets Accrate out to 300-500 yds with just iron sights. You can shoot this rifle in your basement using a telephone book for a backstop using the Short 22 cal bullets. Can be had for between $50-$125 depending on the bluing and condition of the wood

I would suggest a savage modell 110 with a target barrel. And an at least a 50mm scope. Chambered in 308 or 30-06. This is a fairly simple rifle. about $450 dollars.
But if wou want to buy a cheap sniper rifle…
Buy a mosin nagant 91/30 about $90-120 http://www.classicarms.us
an A.T.I. Stock for it with scope mount kit $75
http://www.atistocks.com or http://www.sportsmansguide.com/
10×42 scope $35 http://www.jgsales.com
7.62x54r 440 rounds for $65 http://www.cheaperthandirt.com
I can plink a traget at 400 yds and keep a 4inch circle with my 91/30 but i do have a better scope on it.

ryan, there is a lot of media hype and movies about sniper rifles and such, but listen to me, GO take a hunter safety course, then buy a .22 caliber, semi-auto rifle. these are loads of fun, don’t kick, the ammo is cheap so you can shoot more and it is best to learn basics and marksmanship using a small caliber, non-kicking gun that is cheap to shoot. NOW go take that hunter safety class!!! be safe and have fun!!
January 17th, 2010 at 3:38 am
If you are meaning a long range rifle to hunt and target shoot with, a 22-250 or a 223 will do. Neither gun have any kick and they are good for coyotes and other big varmints. A sniper is a person who sits at a safe distance and shoots others, genreally in the Army or marines.
Good luck getting a gun at 15 w/o parents agreeing.
January 17th, 2010 at 3:38 am
It’s questions like this that fuel the anti-gun fire. Thanks. A 15 year old doesn’t need a sniper rifle.
January 17th, 2010 at 3:38 am
holy cow. BATF anyone? bad idea. just buy a BB gun.
…and you dont ask questions like this…have you seen what happened in at virginia tech recently? you might as well ask "my 15 year old son wants to make a pipe bomb. what’s the cheapest most effective way?" ….."gosh, idiots."
January 17th, 2010 at 3:38 am
A .22 is actually a good place to start. It looks small, harmless, and is relatively quite, especially with .22 shorts. However, many countries use .22 as sniper rifles with great success. Make sure you get one that is drilled and taped for a scope though. You should use a mildot scope to practice ranging and hold-off points for windage. Granted, this gun will not let you make a shot over 200 yards unless you have ideal conditions, but most people don’t have access to distances greater then that to begin with. This round will allow you to learn shot doping at that distance and wind reading, both of which are critical for someone in the field. It’s not like in the movies. It will take a serious commitment on your part to become a good shot. When you get older and don’t need to rely on mom and dad to buy you guns then you can look for something that will be supersonic at 1000+ yards. Until then shoot the .22.

Good rifle and "Don’t cost alot" are not compatible.
If you are saying you want a decent deer rifle, expect to pay $500-1000 for a decent bolt action.
Assuming you are buying one for hunting, caliber depends on quarry.
a good general caliber is 270 or 308.
Expect to pay $12-20 / 20 rounds of ammo.
Considering you used the word "sniper rifle" and 15 old in the same sentence and your "spelin’ " "ain’t that good", and you are probably illiterate buffoon or a child you maybe ought to seek counseling and turn yourself into the cops instead asking stupid questions about a gun.
The rifle is the tool, the sniper is the man. a gun can’t make the man it’s only as good as the person using it.
January 17th, 2010 at 3:38 am
none! a kid at that age has no use for one
January 17th, 2010 at 3:38 am
One again Sniper Rifles are rifles used by snipers!
Armies have used Hunting rifles with scopes their Issue Service Rifle fitted with a scope or in the case of the most successful sniper in history an ordinary bolt action rifle with the issue iron sights. That was Simo Hahya 546 kills in 100 days.
Putting on a ninja suit and having a black rifle does not a sniper make. The only way to learn, and the only way one should, learn is in the military so you will have to wait a few years, that is if you are selected.
