what is life in the military or national guard like for a woman really?
I’ve been thinking and I was curious about the differances for woman who serve. I know that woman can’t fly planes or operate machine guns right? If a woman was to join the national guard right now lets say…would she have to go to iraq right away and what types of jobs would they offer her in the guard or military for that matter?
do woman have as great a chance of death in the military or do they get jobs that aren’t as great a risk of being killed?
if any woman in the military now or who have been can give me an honest answer.
also what was the experience like..? did you like it? or was it the worst mistake you ever made?

Women are completely capable and ado fly planes and use machine guns. It all just depends on what the job you choose entitles you to do. Yes women go to Iraq, but not for the purpose of ground fighting. That doesn’t mean they don’t defend or die. I have 2 friends that were sent to Iraq for a normal deployment and came home. I also have read numerous stories about women dieing, most by roadside bombs. I don’t regret my time in the military. I’m glad I’m out, but enjoyed all the things I could only have done through the military.
