What kind of shot gun does the military issue?

I know the Remington’s are the 870′s, but what are the Mossbergs? Also i know the Marines are issuing the Benelli’s too…

    Years ago it used to be the Winchester model 97. At that time there wasn’t much to chose from. Now there are many models and makes to chose from. Depending on the branch of service and its specific use.

    The US military uses a few different types, but mostly the mosberg pump.

    Which military? 12 and 10 gauge are popular. There are under attachments which fire shotgun rounds and there are various semi auto and even full auto shotguns used by various militaries around the world.

    Just for the record, not all of them had the buttstocks removed. I kept the buttstock on my 500. We weren’t doing breaching so I carried 00 buck… I wanted the buttstock for that.
