Hello Kira. The .50 cal system falls under the exact same rules as any other rifle. As long as it is not a select fire or full automatic ( which this is NOT designed to do), owning or buying one would be the same as a Ruger 10-22.
The main problem would be where you could shoot it. I dont know of any public ranges in Ohio ( where I am ) that allows any .50 cal to be shot.
