Check out any of the Jane’s magazines or books… but they really aren’t for the casual military enthusiast. They are expensive, but they are also the forefront of military technology and developments. Subscriptions are very expensive, but they are primarily used by companies, governments, and militaries for the most up to date and trusted information.
They have abridged articles available for free online, so feel free to check them out at http://www.janes.com.
