Where did the dead suspect in the killing of three Oakland police officers procure an assault rifle?

He was in violation of his parole, with a no bail warrant out for his arrest.
Why were there approximately 20 bystanders taunting the police and emergency workers at the scene of the first shooting?

Don’ you know that more gun control is needed? I bet you also think that he waited the 15 days that is mandatory in California to get a firearm.
No, I can tell by your question that you know that he is a criminal. Not only that but he bought the firearm in a illegal manner if he didn’t steal it himself. I don’t think that he used a rifle in the 1st shooting, but a pistol. Its nearly impossible to swing a rifle inside of a vehicle. Then used a rifle when he got to where he was going. But I cant be for sure.
This is more proof that the punishment of criminals is not punishment at all. I wonder if 57,000 more criminals on the streets in California will be a good thing?
The mob mentality of the bystanders show the tenancies of the residence. I have seen more than my fair share of things in Oakland and I am glad I left California.
The more the people suffer with the economy the more that things like this will become commonplace.
But Oakland is not the only place that the police can’t keep a handle on the criminals. See below for a statement from a St Louis alderman.

You can get those weapons on the street in any large city, as for the bystanders? Who knows, I sure as hell do not.

Most guns used in murders are stolen from people who bought them legally.

i’m sure that obama supporters will insist the police planted the
weapon!!!
btw: the term assult weapon is the meaningless language of
the anti gun left!

Not through proper channels.

A dangerous criminal buying an assault rifle is very easy in this country. If bystanders were taunting police like you say, then it probably has to do with the kid that was shot in cold blood by the transit cop not too long ago. It was caught on video and once the officer shot the kid the other police officers standing around were not exactly in a rush to help the kid. Oakland residents don’t trust the cops anymore.

an average of 1.2 million people are killed every year in auto accidents. I would like to know where these automobiles were procured.

Same way other criminals get their guns. It again proves that gun control laws are useless as criminals will always be able to get guns.
Most of the people of Oakland are scum. They hated the police long before the transit officer accidentally (yes in was an accident) shot the young man. Even if they were mad about that incident it is inhuman to taunt anyone, let alone men and women who have sworn to serve and protect, as they lay dying in the streets. They will have to answer to god for their actions.

You can buy assault rifles anywhere in the world through illegal channels. They are very easy to obtain in big cities that have larger black markets and more deadly weapons can even be smuggled across the Mexican border such as RPGs and grenades.

Any high density populated metropolitan area, you can probably get an assault rifle easy. The east oakland suburbs would probably be first in line for this. But I got to wonder how the Oakland PD can have 4 of their veteran officers, 2 of them fully armed SWAT be taken out by a single civilian.
And the earlier BART shooting of Oscar Grant further the existing extreme hatred and bias several of the Oakland communities (not pointing fingers) has for police. Hence the taunting.
Either ways, this is very tragic.

The Oakland Police Dept has yet to comment on the firearm used in these killings.
Arn’t you being a bit presumptious?
