If any of you have operated as one, please tell me which is the most used (and the most effective, if it isn’t).
Thinking more along the lines of select-fire weapons than marksman or sniper rifles.

Most of them use M4 Carbines, though quite a few use AK derivative. It’s really up to the individual guy. They are contractors, so they aren’t limited by regulations, but they have to look out for ammo, and M4′s are in use by NATO forces, while Iraqi’s have a TON of AK ammo. ‘nuf said.
