Recon Sgt is incorrect.
FN-Herstal would be the most used weapons manufacturer for the US.
They currently have the contract for all:
M240 series
M249 series
M16 Series
M2 series
SCAR Series
Colt has the
M203 series
and it recently forfeited the M4 Series
Beretta has
M9
Sig Sauer has
M11
Remington has the
M24
M40
So of all of them FN has the biggest contract
Colt only makes the M203, Glock makes no weapons for the military, and Springfield (the current company) has never had a US contract. The original Springfield was owned and operated by the US Govt and made military weapons until just before vietnam.

If you are asking who sells the most, I would wager glock
colt and springfield are probly close seconds.
colt has the m16/4 contract with the military
Beretta has the M9 contract…
