Why are so many people getting butt hurt about the bible references on the Military Rifle sights?
Seriously people who cares? I am one of the many atheists that carry that very sight on their M4/M16 and guess what? It’s a great optic. It does the job and it does it well. Who cares if the owner of the CIVILIAN company wasted his money by having these verses cast into the sight? This in no way violates the separation clause.
@no1home2: Did you miss the part where I said I carry that exact sight on my assigned weapon? Trust me, it’s there.

Who cares is right. They should have put,"Smile and wait for flash", on the front of them.

Because it’s a waste of money?
And… "revolutionaries" may get the wrong idea.

I agree. Besides, I can’t think of a better place for a religious reference than a gun barrel. Violence and religion have a long history together.

Sorry, but there are no Biblical references to military rifle sights.

Wait till the firearms find their way into the hands of enemy soldiers and they start killing our guys. Then what are they going to say?
Next, they’ll start putting verses of the Quran on their weapons.

You can still use the optic, but the verses can (and should) be removed.

I’m not pleased with my tax money supporting the Crusades.

Well, from what I understand, its part of the serial number of the sights, so they aren’t really wasting more money by having them. It’s an abbreviation of the book and a chapter and verse. And the article I read said that it was in honor of a friend, who was a "devout Christian." I don’t really care if they have bible verses or not. But they are made by a private company, so they should not be forced to remove them. An atheist friend who has two weapons with these sights told me, they make mostly night sights, "so you can’t read them anyway."

1) Waste of money.
2) Unnecessary encouragement of a system of belief that shackles humankind.
3) I dislike scripture.
4) I dislike guns.
5) I dislike the fact that we have to have a military.
6) Cheese.
