Why do Israelis have all kinds of military equiptment?
like sniper rifles, fighter planes, helecopters, bulldozers, tanks, ect and use them to kill Palestinians everyday and then if the Palestinians get a few rockets that haven’t killed anyone the Israelis start crying "terrorist" and say that its illegal? If 10 Palestinians are killed for every 1 Israel killed how can Israel be the victim? And why do all the Israelis talk about the Palestinians putting down their weapons? Since the Israelis are the ones with the weapons who keep murdering people why don’t they put the weapons down?
I’m not sure YOU understand the situation. Palestinians have been fighting for independence for a while now, and the Israelis don’t want to stop fighting until Palestinians are all dead. I suggest you read some stories on it and start listening to Al Jazeera.
Please turn off FOX news and get some real information on the situation.

They have a military because they are surrounded by nations that have invaded them repeatedly, and threaten to wipe them off the face of the map.
And Palestinians have weapons, theyre called suicide bombers.

So if the roles were reversed and it was the Palestinians with all the equipment would you be supporting the Israelis?

If the Israelis wanted to kill all the Palestinians then what is stopping them? They certainly have the fire power to do it in a matter of days. Stop listening to what ever news/propaganda feed you adhere to and use common sense.

actually amost all answers gives the impression of "we do not know"
for instance
in jenin israel would make troops to go inside jenin and capture all the fighters,suppose they were 100 fighters can send them troops fight them but instead airoplanes had bombed the refugee camp leveled it to ground ,well this might have killed a number of the 100 fighters,but as well killed the a 100 civillians
the same as lately happened in gaza
israel did not send troops to see those who launched the rockets but with airoplanes they shelled the area which resulted the death of 120 amongst them at least 30 infants

Why does China, Russia, UK, Egypt, Syria, Iran, France, Mexico, Germany, Italy, India, Pakistan, Canada, Australia,…( I could go on) have all kinds of military equipment?
Countries have military equipment for several reasons. The most important reason is to defend their land from foreign invaders. I don’t know if you have ever looked at a map or not but have you seen how small Israel is? It is smaller than the state of New Jersey in the USA. They also happened to be completely surrounded by countries that have publicly stated that they would like them wiped off the map. If other countries (and terrorist groups) leave them alone, they will not have to use military equipment except for training. If they don’t leave them alone and kill innocent Israelis, then they do have to use them as their obligation to protect their citizens. Just one life is worth everything to these people because they value life so seriously. How can you say that 1 life is woth nothing compared to ten? A life is a life. All lost life is terrible and in the present case, Israel is not the aggressor. Judaism is a religion about life, not the afterlife. Israel is primarily Jewish and they take life very seriously. Also, every action they do take, is taken very thoughtfully and seriously.
…That is why they have military equipment.
EDIT: I have watched Palestinian perspective movies in Arabic and some Al Jazeera stuff. They attempt to manipulate things but they don’t mask the obvious underlying premise. The Israelis only want the most humble of all things in the world, and that is to exist. Nothing more. You can spin it all you want but that it is all it is. What is wrong with that? How would you like it if someone told you that they don’t want you to exist?
p.s. Maya, Why would they want more land? They have been giving little pieces of land away in efforts to make peace. The "gangsters" you speak of are a figment of your imagination. The only real enemy is in your own distorted perceptions of who you want to be the enemy. These types of beliefs are why peace can never be obtained.
