Why do you some people freak out when hear someone talking about guns reference to hunting or recreation?
Today at work I over heard 3 guys talk about guns in reference to hunting and recreation shooting. We are in the military too. Well a civilian who had her young children present asked the 3 guys to talk about something else because her children were present. They all looked at her like she was crazy but they said sorry and moved their conversation further away. Why would this lady find their conversation so offensive?

Why is this a big deal for you? I don’t worry about what others think. I do respect them, but it doesn’t bother me one bit if they freak out. It is their right to, just like it is my right to keep and bear arms. Live and let live. Life is too short to worry about bullsheet or tilt against windmills.

Unless she or her kids knew someone who had been shot once, it’s probably just simply that she hates guns and doesn’t want her kids to have any sort of experience with them.

People not associated with these machines tend to be overly sensitive to their even being brought up in conversation. It is common with liberals. And generally it is women who are anti’s. See they don’t don’t want their children "tainted" by guns which means total withdrawl from the subject.

There is no telling, the lady could have lost a friend or family member to some kind of accident, war, or violent crime. That or she could simply hate firearms. Heck, according to the Department of Homeland Security, troops returning home from war are terrorist. So, ya, there is no way of telling what took place and why she feels they way she does about firearms.

Don’t be so quick to judge. She could have had a family member killed in a hunting accident, or something else that had to do with guns. Were they talking about how they shot this deer or duck the other day? That could freak out a kid. She probably isn’t a crazy liberal like most people tend to believe.

If it bothered her so damn much she should have moved herself! Typical liberal mentality " I don’t like something so I’m going to force you to stop doing it". Bitch is lucky she didn’t ask me to stop talking about it, I would have told her to carry her butt to another table.

Some people are weird. I was talking to a guy at work. He had just bought a big LCD tv. He said that he thought you could hook a computer up to his tv. I said that my son had his tv hooked up to his computer and it worked pretty good until we put a gun safe in his room between the computer and tv and couldn’t see it any more. He turned around and walked off in mid sentence.

People who kill for the fun of it are a bad influence on children.

This woman found the conversation to be offensive because obviously she was trying to squeeze a child out of her a**…
I would’ve told her to go away if I were those men… right after I mentioned the fact that we (your group) are veterans/current members of the armed forces, who risked (or risking) their lives for her freedom…
That would shut her the hell up… Should’ve asked her if she were communist…
