It’s not like we go around saying your careers are stupid and immoral. And it seems to me that all the people who do bash it all think we’re a bunch of dumb grunts running around with rifles. That’s not true, some of the smartest and most civilized people in history had military backgrounds.

The people that live and die to protect my freedom have my upmost respect. This problem is very similar to the problem in the late 60s to early 70s with the Vietnam vets…the bleeding heart socialists that are in control of the media do not like the war we are currently fighting. They need a bad guy to sell to the mindless liberal sheep. Since Bush is no longer the President, unfortunately people like you…the men and women charged with protecting the very freedom they are abusing…get to be their scapegoats.

Most people who "bash" the military are generally "insecure" in their own right. First off, the believe that it’s wrong to kill anybody and are actually afraid and fearful.
Most people who bash the military often "forget" that there are people in their own family whom they are related to are or have been in the military.
Most people who bash the military do not understand what it takes for a country to defend itself so that any other country doesn’t get the idea that we are "weak" and that we can not defend ourselves from their attack. Only by having a "standing" Army, Air Force, Navy, Marines, Coast Guard can the US be strong each and every day so that no other country gets the "idea" in their head that they can attack the US. The US was attacked on December 7, 1941 at Pearl Harbor because we were not wise when we disbanded our military after WWI. And, we looked weak to those who did attack us. And, that’s why they did!
Most people who bash the military want taxes to be spent on the pet projects that they like and not on supporting military people and military equipment.
Most people who bash the military are selfish in many respects. And, they don’t respect the US military that keeps us all safe at home and abroad.
Now, this answer may hurt the feelings of some who read it. But, it is for them to look in the mirror and ask themselves "How would my American life be if we didn’t have a strong military and some other country attacked us and conquered us?" When they come for YOU and there is NOT a strong US military to defend you – then you will regret your belief that the US military is not necessary.

Never really met anyone who bashes the military. I’ve met pricks that accuse anyone not falling under a political spectrum as not caring about the military. But the truth is everyone cares about men and women in uniform and wish the best for them. Make sure you don’t confuse bashing violence and war with bashing the military. As my belief with the current American situation is that we are wasting time fighting an idea that will never truly die. And war is mostly useless and the result of ignorance. War is ignorant this is true. Although that does not mean that the young men and women who pursue a career in it are ignorant. I’m debating on joining the army myself actually.

In truth, I have not heard anyone in the United States "bash" the military. In fact, people go out of their way to praise our troops for doing the jobs they are sent to do and for their bravery. The word "everybody" seems inappropriately applied here, unless you are hanging out with a pocket-group of people who happen to be anti-military. Speaking as a former military person…no one is bashing or belittling military personnel.

i don’t know who these people are giving low ratings to those that state their support for the military.
everyone should take every opportunity to thank our vets and those currently serving. they serve so that the rest of don’t have to and enjoy all of our freedoms.
i think the people who "bash" are likely ignorant and think that those who serve support the administration’s politics 100%. like i said, ignorant. i know both republicans and democrats, and everything in between, all of whom have served with distinction. our military men and women generally will tell you that they fight not for some political agenda, but for their families back home and the guy next to them (in battle).

ive met alot of people (most of my friends) that have bashed the military, youre right they do all think we are the same, run around a field with camo and a rifle for a living ! and that we are good for nothing…My guess is that they are jealous of our success and could never do anything like what we have done in their lives. We have seen and done things that no civilian will ever do in their lives and been places aswel, if we wanted we could climb mount everest, go scuba diving in mexico or skiing in the swiss alps for a fraction of the price ! unless world war 3 breaks out then they will never feel the honor of sserving the country and protecting the population back at home (including the bashers). Yes they are jealous in the highest forms cause they are stuck in a dead end 9-5 job with no future prospects !

Your question is baseless. No one is bashing the military, not even those who disagree with the wars. Everyone I’ve talked to or I’ve heard supports the troops and their families, regardless of his or her views on the ongoing conflicts or on war in general.
