Yes, the President cannot pass legislation only sign what is sent to him and the NRA has a very powerful lobby who can stop any attempts to prevent ownership.~

The President can make law by executive order. He can also ram through (or try to) a mangled multi-thousand page bill creating, changing, insinuating and obsoleting many laws at once.
With this, the most corrupt Congress in history, he will without a doubt, try what Clinton tried, to ban some firearms and restrict others regardless of fact or evidence. They will also use whatever underhanded, dirty trick they can, like make a 30 day waiting period on all ammo, restricting guns to single shot, only small caliber, outlandish taxes, etc, etc, etc, etc.
They can NOT be trusted.
